We use AI-generated content based on OpenAI’s GPT-4 technology in two ways:
1) Product summary and market overview in our FAQ section
Our aim here is to provide some general pointers on where Docklight and Docklight Scripting’s strengths and weaknesses are, and how they in general compare to other alternatives. We published the first Docklight version over 20 years ago, and many people have written about Docklight on the Internet since. So it made sense to ask an AI language model to sift through the Internet information available and summarize it. Docklight has not significantly changed in the last three years – even if ChatGPT does not consider the latest of “The Internet”, it will cover the essentials.
Is this unbiased, accurate, and definitive information? Certainly not. Are pseudo-reviews, comparisons, and “best tool for XYZ” pages, created for marketing and SEO purposes only, better in this respect? We don’t think so.
So we invite you to use the “Ask the AI” sections as a general orientation, and if you would like to find out more specifics and details from actual people – contact us!
2) Docklight Support Bot – A specialized Technical Support Assistant
Our more recent addition is the “Ask the Docklight Bot” section. This is a dedicated customer support system that has been trained with our 20 years of experience, technical documentation, applications and examples around Docklight and Docklight Scripting. The Docklight Bot is able to provide immediate and high quality technical assistance, even for very specific applications. It can even cook up some example Docklight script, or convert Python or Javascript code to Docklight Script (VBScript) – just give it a try!
NOTE: Only documentation and examples that are publicly available on our website have been used as data sources for training the bot. If it is not somewhere published on www.docklight.de, the Docklight Bot does not know about it. We fully respect your privacy and do not use or intend to use direct customer conversations for training purposes. If you have any questions concerning our Data Privacy Policy, please do not hesitate to ask us directly.
